They manage all aspects of organic search marketing to increase online presence and brand awareness. Responsibilities include developing and executing effective SEO strategies across on-page and off-page optimization, conducting comprehensive keyword research to guide content teams and inform content strategy, managing technical SEO issues and coordinating fixes with development teams, optimizing website content, landing pages, meta tags, and URLs for search engine crawlability, directing link-building initiatives and managing backlink profiles to improve domain authority, and analyzing website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates to assess SEO effectiveness. They collaborate with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices, monitor search engine algorithm updates and adapt strategies accordingly, manage SEO tools and analytics platforms, conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, and provide SEO training and guidance to marketing team members. Daily activities involve SEO strategy implementation, keyword research and analysis, content optimization, performance monitoring, technical SEO auditing, link-building coordination, and stakeholder communication. SEO Managers also develop SEO reporting and metrics, stay current with search engine best practices, manage SEO software and tools, and ensure alignment between SEO efforts and broader marketing initiatives.
