Analyzes IT systems and business processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend technology solutions that align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency. They serve as bridges between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure technology investments deliver business value. Responsibilities include analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical specifications, evaluating existing IT systems and identifying areas for improvement, conducting business process analysis and recommending optimization strategies, collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope, designing and documenting system requirements and business processes, and supporting IT project implementation and testing phases. They perform cost-benefit analysis on technology solutions, facilitate communication between business users and IT teams, conduct user acceptance testing and training, and ensure IT solutions meet business needs and objectives. Daily tasks involve requirements gathering, system analysis, documentation creation, stakeholder meetings, process mapping, testing coordination, and project support. IT Business Analysts also conduct gap analysis, develop business cases for technology investments, create user stories and acceptance criteria, and provide ongoing support for implemented solutions.
