Candidates should be able to explain general ledger and subledger modules such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, consolidation and reporting, design of cloud data pipelines and data models, extract transform load processes, business intelligence and dashboarding strategies, master data management, data quality controls, and security and segregation of duties. Expect discussion of system selection, vendor evaluation, change management, automation of the close, and how finance and engineering teams collaborate to deliver reliable, auditable financial information. Interviewers may probe experience with specific cloud tooling such as Google Cloud Platform, Apache Spark, or BigQuery, and with data integration patterns and testing approaches.
